Approved Bill Avoids DHS Closing
House Speaker, John Boehner, announced to the press that the Congress had voted to approve funding the Homeland Security Department until the end of the fiscal year.
Boehner stressed that the idea to close the Department of Homeland Security would not be beneficial for the American public and the approval to this bill would prevent this Department from closing.
The House voted 257-167 for the legislation permitting the Government to fund the DHS with more than $39,000,000. Speaker Boehner stressed the objections to President Obama’s immigration orders have not changed.
DAPA and the decisions that surround this immigration program affect approximately five million people who are either undocumented or who are in the process of resolving immigration requirements. The approval of this bill by the House of Representatives is a victory for the Obama administration which is a conflict with no end in sight.
