Petition Fees Increased for H-1B and L-1 Nonimmigrant Visas

A new law signed on December 15, 2015 increases fees on certain H-1B and L-1 petitioners postmarked on or after December 18, 2015. Additional fees of $4,000 are for certain H-1B and $4,500 for certain L-1A and L-1B nonimmigrant visas.

Additional fees apply only to employers with more than 50 or more employees and with 50 percent of those employees with H-1B or L-1A and L-1B status. These fees must be submitted together with the petition when filed. This fee is in addition to the original processing fees. All other Public Law 114-113 fees will continue through September 30, 2025.
